10 Tips for Successful Ezine Advertising

Saturday, May 7th, 2011

When it comes to advertising, I’ve tried just about everything. I tried free classified ad sites, I tried FFA sites, I tried banner exchange programs.
The results? Not much.
I was tired of hearing that the Internet is the largest market in human history. Maybe so, but how could I reach those millions of people?
The answer, I discovered, is ezine advertising.
Ezines are sometimes called ‘opt-in’ lists because everyone who receives an ezine has chosen to do so.
And that’s why ezine advertising gets results. People read ezines and they’ll read your ad. And if you’ve matched the ezine to the product you’re selling, you’ve reached your target audience.
There are currently around 90,000 ezines being published every month. So whatever you’re selling, there’s more than likely an ezine that will take your ad straight to the audience you want to reach.
Ezine advertising is not only effective, it’s cheap as well. A 5 line ad in an ezine that goes to 3000 people will cost you between $5 and $20 per issue.
As a general rule, you’ll always get back at least the cost of the ad, and usually much more. So there’s very little risk.
But there are some tips for successful ezine advertising. Here they are:
1. The first and most important rule is: “Track your Ads!” Say you place an ad in 5 different ezines and get a hundred responses. If you don’t track your ads, you won’t know which ezines were pulling responses and which weren’t.
But how do you track your ads?
Then, when you get a reply with ‘ezineA’ in the subject field, you’ll know which ezine it came from.
For a URL, it’s the same principle:
However, if you’re going to code your URLs, you’ll need a good webstats program to track the coded URLs. Here’s another way to code your URLs: for every ezine ad, create a duplicate of your homepage and name the page after the ezine that your ad will appear in. So, if the ad is appearing in EzineA

Advertise, Advertise, Advertise

Many people sign up for affiliate programs with the hopes of making some serious money. They advertise a few places and then wait for the money to start pouring in. When it doesn’t, they blame it on the program and quit.

I am convinced the only way to make money online is to have a consistent Advertising plan. A plan you are willing to work hard on and commit to for a selected period of time. When making this plan, you need to do two things. First, you should pick a few affiliate programs that are of interest to you. Second, you need to decide how long you want to work these programs. Once you decide on a time period (I recommend 6 months to a year), you must make a promise to yourself that you will not stop advertising until that time period is up. This is perhaps the most important factor in your success.

Next, you need to consider your advertising options: traffic exchanges, classified ads, e-mail campaigns, ezine articles, posting to forums or message boards, chatting with others who are interested in what you have to offer, and posting flyers around your town. Now you see the many possible advertising avenues you can choose from. I recommend doing all of them. It may sound like a lot of work, but when broken down into a plan, it is not.

4 1/2 Strategic Tips For Making Money Online More Quickly

Friday, December 31st, 2010

If it seems that everybody is making boatloads of money online and you’re missing out, fear not.

There’s plenty of time left for you, and the greatest part about it that it’s not very difficult.

Strategic Tip #1: Plan to work hard.

I know, this goes against everything you hear but deep down you know that nothing worthwhile is easy right?

You also know that getting anything done quickly just takes more work.

Even cleaning out the garage, yeah you could take your time and get it done over a weeks time, or else you could work your butt off and have it finished and be sitting right back down on the couch watching your favorite reruns.

To get things done quicker you just have to put in the extra hard work, but when the checks start rolling in, all your work will be worthwhile.

By the way, if you do things right, one of the beautiful things about the internet is that the work you do today will pay off for months and hopefully years after.

Just like that clean garage you’ll have.

Strategic tip #2: Find one good teacher.

Let me just emphasize “one”. Bouncing around from teacher to teacher, product to product is THE biggest mistake that new hopeful internet marketers make.

However, find a mentor/teacher that’s reputable. You can go to the different marketing forums and ask around, and you’ll get some honest answers. Just beware of anyone trying to sell themselves. The great teachers don’t have to do this in forums.

Once you find them, stick to their strategies and you’ll be way better off than most people who are still playing the bouncy game.

Some marketers I recommend you follow are:

Jimmy D. Brown
Jim Edwards
John Vallaries
Yanik Silver
John Reese

But just pick one, and stick with them.

Strategic Tip #3: Research and target a hungry niche that’s got as little competition as possible.

I’m not going to say a whole lot about this. It’s very basic but not quite easy. Everything will have some competition, which is good. This means there’s money to be made.

But best thing I can tell you is to find a hungry crowd, and feed it. A great place to start your research is Ebay. Also, magazine stands, http://Amazon.com, Froogle. You get the picture.

Also Google the phrase: “Finding a Niche Market”. You’ll be reading for days.

10 Effective Advertising Tips! 80% of All Advertising Is Wasted Due To This Common Mistake.

Writing a classified ad to sell your product isn’t as hard as you might think, if you spend time researching effective copy writing strategies.

Here are a few to try NOW!

1. Never try to sell expensive items from a small classified ad.
Use the two step method. Request the reader visit your site
for free information or email an auto responder address
for more details where you will respond with longer
ad copy to effectively sell your product.

2. Study how other marketers write their sales copy. This is a no brainer. Simply study the ads in newsletters you are subscribed to.
Or surf to a few of the free classified ad sites and study the ads placed there. Don’t copy their ads word for word but use them as an effective design to write your own adverts.

3. Advertise in the right Newsletter. That’s right. This is basic stuff. Don’t place your ad for cooking lessons in a Sports Trivia Newsletter. Or High Tech EBooks on Java-Scripting in a Romance
Writers Newsletter.
